Borrego’s EPC built two community solar projects totaling 13.8 MW in Orange, Massachusetts for system owner AES. 

Borrego’s EPC team is seasoned building in Massachusetts and accustomed to working around harsh winter conditions. These sites were built along a steep, rocky hill, and Borrego EPC provided extra attention to safety and engineering to account for the weather and terrain. As an example, Borrego’s team built water bars and pools to prevent runoff from the steep hill into the neighboring properties. 

This community solar project is expected to generate enough energy to power 1,607 local homes each year. Together, these sites will offset the equivalent of 12,210 metric tons of carbon dioxide each year, or the equivalent of taking 2,631 gasoline-powered cars off the road for one year.
