Borrego’s EPC designed and built this DC-coupled community solar and storage project for the system owner and operator, The AES Corporation in North Brookfield, MA. The system includes two fields and a total of 4 Fluence battery systems, providing 8.4 MW of solar and 3.6 MW / 10.6 MWh of energy storage. The project is expected to generate the equivalent amount of electricity needed to power approximately 852 homes and offset the equivalent of more than 6,431 metric tons of carbon each year.
